Chobani is seeking an experienced Vice President of Corporate Security to lead the continued development of its enterprise security function. This role marks a transition for the organization—from foundational, site-based security capabilities to a more integrated, enterprise-level approach aligned with business growth, operational complexity, and executive risk.
The Vice President will be responsible for protecting Chobani’s people, manufacturing operations, supply chain, brand, and executive leadership, while establishing clear standards and consistent practices across a growing and increasingly complex organization.
This leader will focus on strengthening and integrating security across a distributed environment, ensuring that programs are both effective and practical, and that security is aligned with business priorities.
Success in this role will be defined by the ability to establish a consistent and scalable security program across Chobani’s operations, while building strong partnerships across the organization. In the first 12–18 months, key indicators of success will include:
- Establishing a clear baseline of security capabilities across manufacturing and corporate environments
- Implementing consistent access control and contractor management practices across key sites
- Building credibility and trust with plant leadership and executive stakeholders
- Creating a security risk registry
- Strengthening alignment between corporate security and executive protection
- Delivering a prioritized roadmap to support the continued maturation of the security function
The Vice President, Corporate Security will report to the Chief Legal Officer and partner closely with Operations and Executive Leadership, including coordination with the CEO’s office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Security Strategy & Program Development
- Develop and lead an enterprise security strategy aligned to Chobani’s growth and operational priorities
- Assess current capabilities and implement a roadmap to strengthen the security function over time
- Establish and maintain security standards, policies, and procedures across all facilities
- Advise senior leadership on security risks and mitigation strategies
- Creation of a security risk registry to help align priorities
2. Manufacturing & Operational Security
- Oversee security programs across manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and construction sites
- Support the development of consistent site-level practices in a high-growth environment that includes ongoing construction, contractor activity, and evolving facility operations
- Ensure effective controls for:
- Access control
- Contractor and visitor management
- Facility security
- Partner with operations and plant leadership to implement solutions that are both effective and workable at the site level
- Ensure alignment between security practices and food safety considerations
3. Executive Protection & Risk Management
- Provide oversight and coordination of the company’s Executive Protection (EP) program
- Work closely with the CEO’s office and related stakeholders to ensure appropriate protection measures are in place
- Support travel risk management, advance planning, and protective intelligence activities
- Maintain alignment between corporate security and executive-level security needs
4. Threat Management & Incident Response
- Establish processes for identifying, assessing, and responding to security threats
- Oversee investigations related to workplace incidents or security concerns
- Ensure readiness for a range of potential scenarios, including workplace violence and operational disruptions
5. Organizational Leadership
- Lead and develop a geographically dispersed security team
- Strengthen capabilities, clarify roles, and support the continued development of the function
- Build relationships across the organization to promote awareness and adoption of security practices
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with key stakeholders across operations, legal, human resources, information technology, facilities, and communications
- Coordinate with cybersecurity leadership to ensure alignment on areas of shared risk
- Provide input on security considerations related to expansion, capital projects, and operational changes
7. Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Establish reporting and value metrics to monitor security performance and trends
- Provide regular updates to leadership on key risks and program effectiveness
- Support ongoing improvement of security practices across the organization
Candidate Profile
1. Experience
- 15+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or a related field
- Experience leading security programs in manufacturing, consumer products, or similarly operational environments preferred
- Background in physical security, incident response, and risk management
- Exposure to executive protection or protective intelligence is beneficial
2. Leadership & Approach
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop teams and build trust across the organization
- Comfortable working in environments where processes are evolving and require thoughtful development
- Able to balance strategic thinking with practical execution
- Ability to lead through influence
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage both senior leaders and frontline teams
3. Core Capabilities
- Understanding of manufacturing or operational environments
- Familiarity with access control, facility security, and workforce considerations
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and risks
- Sound judgment and a practical, solutions-oriented approach
4. Additional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- Willingness to travel regularly (up to ~50%)
- Flexibility on location, with proximity to key operational hubs preferred
