Rich is a respected leader cultivating public-private relationships, strategic planning and promising practices. Rich brings 40 years of public safety experience to clients across the country, including organizational leadership, agency management, national law enforcement best practices, crime reduction strategies, public policy advocacy, corporate security and expert testimony. Rich served as Sheriff of Hennepin County, Minnesota, a large, urban metro county comprised of the City of Minneapolis and surrounding areas.  He went on to serve in national leadership positions and was a senior law enforcement advisor to the Director of National Intelligence, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has previously served as Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Public Safety and Director of Homeland Security for the State of Minnesota.  Rich  served as an elected official in the Minnesota State House of Representatives as a Legislator. He began his career with the Minneapolis Police Department where he rose to the rank of Captain. Rich is a Senior Advisor for CSA.
